You'll learn how to pack everything you need into your backpack, cook an excellent backcountry dinner and camp without leaving a trace of your presence. Acquire skills for rock climbing such as knot tying and belaying then put them to use over several days of progressively challenging climbs.
You'll develop teamwork and leadership while working together as a group to meet your goals each day.

On Adult Renewal courses, instructors approach the physical challenges of a wilderness expedition through the lens of renewal/rejuvenation and, as on all courses, instructors also adapt to the needs of the group.
Adult Renewal courses are popular with adults in transition or who are just feeling the hunger for insight. Instructors facilitate sharing of life experiences amongst the group and craft course activities in ways that offer you opportunities to examine where you have been, where you are now and where you would like to go in life.
Skills you will learn and practice include:
- Safety precautions for backcountry foot travel
- How to find campsites
- How to navigate terrain
- Map and compass reading
- Working with ropes (knot tying and rappelling)
