Outward Bound Scholarships are based on financial need, student motivation, and the potential to excel on a wilderness course. Outward Bound holds its scholarship applicants to a very high standard. We expect applicants to approach the experience with a high level of motivation, give it their all and complete the course successfully. Please see below for more information.
The Student Opportunity Fund - The Student Opportunity Fund provides partial tuition support to students in need of financial assistance. The average scholarship award is 30% of the course tuition and awards typically do not exceed 50% of the course tuition. Scholarships awards are first-come first-served and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please click here for information.
The Pinnacle Scholarship Program - The Pinnacle Program serves high potential, low-income youth nominated through local community-based organizations and schools. Please Note: This program is available only to students nominated through pre-existing Outward Bound partnerships.
