Propel yourself through the waters of the Boston Harbor in a two-person kayak. Learn paddling techniques, capsize and rescue procedures, weather and forecasting and navigation skills. Investigate water and shoreline ecology that only a kayak can access and camp out on island beaches. As your skills progress, tackle new challenges such as plotting your own course to another island and night paddles. The park is home to Thompson Island Outward Bound, where you'll stop to challenge yourself on our state-of-the-art high and low ropes courses. Fun, adventurous and challenging, this is the only Outward Bound sea kayaking course designed specifically for 12- and 13-year-old boys.
