My course was quite some time ago. I am 37 now and I was 17 when I won a leadership scholarship to attend any Outward Bound I wanted. The door was wide open but for some reason, I absolutely wanted to attend the Hurricane Island Outward Bound school. When I arrived I was in awe of the a young lady and soon to be absolute best friend. We did everything together and were best of friends. The time I had there was the most amazing experience of my life for so many reasons. The greatest being that that young lady, my best friend on the course has been my wife for the last 15 years and college sweethearts before.
Outward Bound gave me so many lessons and I conquered many fears and achieved some of the most memorable personal triumphs even now. So to the amazing people of Outward Bound. Thank you on so many levels.
It was a blessing and a privilege to have attended your amazing course!
