Outward Bound Jacksonville brings Outward Bound's transformative programs to the Jacksonville Metro area. We will continue to work with community organizations, schools (public & private) and local businesses to strengthen Outward Bounds long standing partnership with the community of Jacksonville. Outward Bound aims to deliver programming through a permanent presence that is focused on character development, leadership and service.

Our programs will be delivered through Jacksonville's unique natural settings; the St. Johns River and our abundant park systems. Courses will run from 1 to 30 days in length, take place in both urban and wilderness settings. The can include use of one or more of the following elements: challenge courses, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing.

The emerging Jacksonville Center is currently in the planning stages, has delivered 2 pilot courses, and is currently projected to continue delivering pilot courses in the Spring of 2010.

Customized programming

Outward Bound Jacksonville will work with any organization, school, or corporation to design a course that meets their particular goals. Services can range from a half day of initiatives to multi-day expeditions. Prices vary depending on services.

  • Join our mailing list and get the latest information on up coming courses, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising events.

  • Let us know if your school, company, or organization is interested in learning more about the services provided by Outward Bound.

  • Spread the word to individuals or organizations that would be interested in helping to support or participate in an Outward Bound course.

  • You can help us reach our goal for start up funds by donating services, start up support and equipment.

  • Monetary donations are also vital in helping us purchase gear, vehicles, and to provide programming to serve the community.
