Scholarship Program: Frequently Asked Questions (for Students)
1. What if I can’t afford an Outward Bound program?
The scholarship program is designed to help students get the level of support they need in order to attend one of our programs. Scholarships range from partial to full tuition and are most often awarded to students (ages 12-21) attending longer courses.
2. How do I apply for scholarship support?

- Fill out the enrollment and scholarship applications.

- You will be notified by mail of your enrollment status and scholarship award amount.
3. Is there a number I can call to talk to somebody about scholarship?

4. How does Outward Bound determine how much financial aid I receive?
Scholarship support is awarded based on financial need, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Need is established through tax information submitted by the student/family during the enrollment process.
5. Do I have to pay back any of the funding I receive?
No. All financial aid is in the form of a grant, which does not have to be repaid to Outward Bound.
