Welcome David Williams to the Board

On behalf of the Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound School Board of Directors, we are delighted to announce that David B. Williams has joined the Board. David brings a wealth of professional and nonprofit advisory experience to this role at an exciting time when CSIOBS’s programming and impact are ready to scale and create an even greater impact for young people throughout Greater Boston.
David B. Williams is Principal of DBWORLD LLC, advising boards on governance, risk oversight, mission execution, and organizational effectiveness, and mentoring emerging leaders on professional development. He built his global insurance career at Chubb, holding senior executive roles with full management and P&L responsibility across U.S. and international operations, including expatriate assignments in Asia and Canada. He later served as Senior Vice President and Multinational Chief Underwriting Officer at Liberty Mutual. David has served as a board or advisory member of multiple education-focused organizations and is known for helping boards clarify mission and charter, strengthen governance, manage risk, and align strategy with fiduciary responsibilities. David is a graduate of Harvard University and the Kellogg School of Management Executive Development Program.
David’s dedication to supporting mission-driven education nonprofits aligns powerfully with our mission, and we are grateful for his partnership. His leadership will strengthen our efforts to ensure that even more students can build resilience, confidence, and connection through challenge-based learning outdoors.
