NCOBS Memorial & Named Scholarships

At NCOBS, we believe everyone should have the ability to go Outward Bound. It is our goal to make these programs accessible to as many motivated students as possible. Bowles Endowment

Supports young men seeking direction in life. (Ages 16-20)

 

Burke Endowment

Available to Burke County, NC area youth.

 

Ginger Simms Leadership Fund

Provides full and partial scholarships to highly motivated women who are ready to commit to our intensive 72-day Leadership Semester. (Ages 18-30) >FIND OUT MORE

 

Glass Memorial Scholarship Fund

Supports four NC youth annually (ages 14-18). The fund also supports one young adult from NC attending our Outdoor Educator Course.

 

Hugh Jones Endowment

Available to students of color living in Florida.

 

Libby Jones Endowment

Supports women who desire an opportunity for renewal. (Ages 30+)

 

Mark Headen Memorial Endowment

Available to Charlotte/Mecklenburg County, NC area youth, this scholarship supports young people based on financial need.

 

McGuinn Endowment

Supports young people seeking direction in life attending our Pathfinder courses. (Ages 12-25)

 

Ratcliff Endowment

Supports young people with divorced parents. (Ages 12-16)

 

Raynolds Endowment

Supports high-achieving women dedicated to serving others. (Ages 16-21)

 

Rhea Elliott Cooper Scholarship Endowment

Provides full and partial scholarships to students from middle-income families whose household income is just above the typical threshold for financial aid and yet still struggle to afford full tuition.

 

Rufus Dalton Scholarship Fund

Awards an exemplary student with an all-expenses paid, 22-day backpacking, rock climbing, and whitewater canoeing course in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Included in this award is provision of gear required for the wilderness course. >FIND OUT MORE

 

Stephen Hicks Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is available to aspiring leaders dedicated to serving others in their community.

 

Zeke Zeliff Endowment

Supports individuals who volunteer, mentor, or, in some capacity serve others. Applicants must exhibit leadership and initiative.
