Intercept Expeditions
Intercept is a family program. It is designed to help youth and their families who are “stuck” in some way. School, communication at home, self-confidence, healthy peer relationships, substance use, and motivation are a few of the common areas that Intercept students struggle with before their course.
The Intercept model is group-oriented. Everyone in the group starts and finishes the program together. As each individual learns and practices skills to more healthily relate to themselves and others, the group progressively earns responsibility, freedom, and trust – together. Communication, goal-setting, and decision-making are major areas of focus.
While it is an immersive intervention, Intercept is not clinical or therapy and does not include the professional mental health services found in wilderness therapy programs or outdoor behavioral healthcare.
