Thank you for being a part of Cornerstone 2026 on May 4th! Your belief in our mission to provide enriching outdoor experiences for the youth of the Chesapeake region has fueled our past 40 years. We were thrilled to have so many friends in attendance to mark this momentous anniversary.

We’re deeply grateful to our partners, supporters, students, staff, alumni, and to you for making this kind of progress possible 
 
As we look ahead to the future, there are exciting developments on the horizon. We’re breaking ground at our Washington, D.C campus to install new course elements. In addition, we’re making steady progress towards our goal of annually serving 10,000 young people by 2030. Most importantly, we’re doing it all while continuing to make a real, tangible, positive impact on the people and communities we serve every day. Thank you for being a part of our community, and we can’t wait to see you again soon.  

An extra special thank you to Delegate Malcolm Ruff, Mayor’s Chief of Staff J.D. Merrill, and Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman for taking time from their busy schedules to attend.

This Year's Venue

A big thank you to our hosts at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, a fitting venue to highlight the innovation, heritage, and the spirit of progress that drives us as we look back on four decades of impact and forward to the work yet to come.

The Outward Bound Experience (Station)

Experience Stations throughout the event space, allowed the opportunity to speak with our Instructors, Alumni, and to see first-hand how our staff blend experience and education in a way that is uniquely Outward Bound.

A Thriving Educational Model

Each station was themed around one quadrant of our Domains of Thriving educational model, and paired with a practical demonstration reflective of typical course activities – Backpacking, Rock Climbing, Canoeing, and Kayaking.
