HIOBS seeks qualified candidates for a Costa Rica Lead Instructor for Summer 2026. Lead Instructors are accountable for safety, educational quality, and student experience, supervising and mentoring co-instructors while facilitating expeditions and on-base activities. This role is ideal for candidates with strong wilderness teaching experience who thrive in immersive expeditionary settings.

Highlights

• Schedule: Seasonal, per diem; up to 56 days (3 courses), June 16–August 15, 2026
• Pay: $130–160/day, based on experience
• Benefits: Paid travel, dive certification (if needed), training & development, shared housing when not on course
• Required: WFR & CPR; Water Safety/Lifeguard; significant field teaching experience; strong mentorship skills
• Preferred: OB Lead experience (or equivalent); Open Water Dive Certification; conversational Spanish
