Not a day will go by that I don’t bring this course into my life and strive to reach the potential that I found deep inside myself on this trip.
Come cheer on and support the next generation of Outward Bound Alumni as seniors from WHEELS, a NYC Outward Bound School, march their college application materials to the post office. We’ll supply the inspirational signs – you bring the stoke and encouragement.
Every year in December, high school seniors from across the country march the final supporting pieces of their college applications out the front doors of their schools and to their local post office or mail truck, as their communities cheer them on. An annual tradition started and spread by NYC Outward Bound Schools, the College March helps to catalyze and enhance a school’s college-going culture by celebrating the perseverance of students as they reach this important milestone. In 2018, 2,300 seniors marched from 12 cities across the country. Check out this short documentary.
This event is open to any and all Outward Bound alumni and supporters who live in the New York City area. Registration for this event is $10 and includes motivational signs, networking with local alumni, Outward Bound swag and the chance to champion our Outward Bound leaders of tomorrow.

Your story is an important part of the Outward Bound experience and history; the laughter and tears, struggles and triumph, crumpled maps, meals under the stars, rugged mountains, tranquil waters, resilience, compassion, and unprecedented sense of accomplishment. Your story will also serve as an inspiration to others who might be looking to change their life through Outward Bound. Whether it was just a moment of the course or all 7, 22, 48+ days, take a moment to share your Outward Bound story.
